You will learn more about acting, script analysis and storyline, using a case study “training project” developed with writer Irshad Khan together with community input, and designed to be filmed in set South-East locations.
The film tells the story of two brothers who run a family rug store and face unexpected challenges. This dark comedy will highlight the local area and showcase local talent.

about the workshops
Throughout this workshop series the group will workshop scenes.
We can then utilise local film resources and skills within the group to shoot scripted scenes as exercises in learning about film story, which may be compiled as a short film made by the group.
People living in the South-East with or without experience who want to get involved in the training film activities as actors, or those who want to work on the technical aspects like editing, sound, camera work also welcome. This is about the local film community gathering, sharing skills, and creating together.
In Year Two of the project (2025), participants will be supported as they develop and make their own short films for a local screening showcase event, together with other screen professional development opportunities.
